It operates in three segments: Orthopaedics, Endoscopy and Advanced Wound Management. It operates on a worldwide basis and has distribution channels in over 90 countries. Orthopaedic reconstruction implants include hip, knee and shoulder joints, as well as ancillary products, such as bone cement and mixing systems used in cemented reconstruction joint surgery. Endoscopy business develops and commercialises endoscopic (minimally invasive surgery) techniques, educational programmes and services. Advanced Wound Management business offers a range of products from initial wound bed preparation through to full wound closure. In May 2012, it acquired Kalypto Medical, Inc. In December 2012, the Company acquired the assets of Healthpoint Biotherapeutics.
