About EMC
EMC Corporation (EMC) and its subsidiaries develops, delivers and supports the information technology (IT) industry's range of information infrastructure and virtual infrastructure technologies, solutions and services. EMC manages its business in two categories: EMC Information Infrastructure and VMware Virtual Infrastructure. EMC's Information Infrastructure business provides a foundation for organizations to store, manage, protect, analyze and secure information, within traditional data centers, virtual data centers and cloud-based IT infrastructures. Its EMC Information Infrastructure business consists of three segments: Information Storage, Information Intelligence and RSA Information Security. EMC's VMware Virtual Infrastructure business is engaged in virtualization and virtualization-based cloud infrastructure solutions utilized by businesses. In March 2012, the Company acquired Pivotal Labs. In May 2012, it acquired Syncplicity, Inc. In May 2012, it acquired Watch4net.
