Nuveen Global Equity Income Fund is a diversified, closed-end investment company. The Fund's investment objective is to provide a high level of total return by investing primarily in a diversified global portfolio of value equity securities. The Fund invests approximately 80% of its managed assets in equity securities of which over 40% will be of non-United States companies. The Fund may also opportunistically write covered calls on approximately 35% of the equity portfolio and may invest over 10% of its managed assets in debt securities. The Fund invests in various sectors, including pharmaceuticals; food products; insurance; banks; diversified telecommunication services; real estate investment trust; oil, gas and consumable fuels; electronic equipment, instruments and components; automobiles, and chemicals. The Fund's investment advisor is Nuveen Fund Advisors, LLC, which is a subsidiary of Nuveen Investments, Inc. Tradewinds Global Investors, LLC is the sub advisor of the Fund.
