The firm is sector agnostic but seeks to invest in technology, media, telecommunications, education sectors, business & support services, online transactional businesses (consumer and b2b), niche consumer brands, and niche leisure, lifestyle businesses, webhosting and cloud-based SaaS solutions, online commerce, offline and online platforms across primary, secondary and tertiary education and professional learning. It seeks to invest in the companies based in Europe with a focus on Western Europe and the United Kingdom. The firm prefers to invest between £5 million ($7.51 million) and £100 million ($204.11 million) per transaction in companies with enterprise values between 50 million ($53.16 million) and 500 million($531.58 million). The firm seeks to acquire controlling equity positions in portfolio companies but can also invest in other parts of the capital structure, including mezzanine and senior debt in support of equity-led transactions. In exceptional circumstances, it will take a minority stake as well as majority stake in the business. The firm may also consider investing in public or listed securities. It also seeks to make co-investments. The firm usually invests for a period of five years. It prefers to invest in companies which are owned by families, founders or entrepreneurial managers.
