About Electrocomponents
Electrocomponents plc is engaged in the distribution of electronics and maintenance products. The Company also distributes electrical, industrial and commercial supplies and services to engineers worldwide, through its 32 operating companies and its distributors. RS and Allied Electronics are its brands. The Company's electronics portfolio incorporates brands of semiconductors, electromechanical components and test and measurement equipment. It also provides online design tools to help its customers. It provides eProcurement solutions to help buyers manage the purchase of its products throughout their organization. As of March 31, 2012, it had17 distribution centers globally. As of March 31, 2012, it operated directly in 32 countries, with distributors in a further 37 countries. Its segments include the United Kingdom, Continental Europe, North America and Asia Pacific. As of March 31, 2012, the Company supplied over one million customers from a range of sectors.
