About CSR
CSR plc is a holding company. The Company is a provider of multifunction connectivity, audio, video and imaging and location platforms. The Company is engaged in designing and supplying of integrated circuits (silicon chips) and multifunction platforms for a range of devices and applications that are used in a range of consumer electronics products. It operates in four segments: Automotive, which includes automotive and portable navigation device (PND) and telematics business lines; Home, which contains gaming and home entertainment, personal computer and tablets, document imaging, health and fitness and voice and music; Mobile, which includes its handset and camera businesses, and Legacy Products, which contains the business lines in digital television (DTV) systems-on-a-chip (SoCs), Set Top Box SoCs and Digital Tuners. In August 2011, it acquired Zoran Corporation. In April 2012, it opened the CSR Automotive Systems Development and Applications Centre in Ingolstadt, Southern Germany.
